The high valued culture of Java mostly is originated from the Palaces, like the Javanese classical dance, traditional wedding ceremonies, etc. But some existing culture was born from common people and has a deep root in the heart of the people, such as Ketoprak (Javanese Theater accompanied by gamelan music with stories of ancient kingdoms of Java), Reog and Jatilan trance dances, etc.
